CDK Angus Buy Back Program
What is the Buy Back Program?
CDK Angus is introducing a Buy Back Program designed to provide our customers with a convenient sales outlet for their cattle. This program enables producers to reduce costs associated with shrinkage, commission fees, yardage, and marketing expenses.
Requirements:
CDK Angus offers a Buy Back Program designed to provide our customers with a streamlined sales outlet for their cattle. To participate, please ensure your cattle meet the following requirements:
- Cattle must be guaranteed to be out of CDK Genetics.
- Cattle must weigh a minimum of 600 lbs. and be no older than 12 months.
- Cattle must be weaned for a minimum of 30 days prior to delivery.
- Cattle must be properly protected or backgrounded.
- Cattle must be free of all growth hormones.
How does this process work?
When a producer has cattle available, they can contact CDK Angus to schedule a physical inspection by a CDK representative. Upon inspection and approval for the CDK Calf Buy Back Program, a price will be determined based on current market rates, which will take the average of three sale barns listed below and a $0.05 premium will be added. Once approved, cattle must be delivered to CDK, at the seller’s expense. If delivery by the seller is not possible, CDK can assist in arranging transportation. Final weight will be determined upon delivery. CDK reserves the right to conduct DNA testing on any cattle to verify its lineage and ensure it is free from growth hormones.
